Stage 2 fire restrictions implemented across the state, including Dammeron Valley

The Utah Department of Natural Resources and Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands have implemented Stage 2 Fire Restrictions effective at 12:01 AM on Friday, 1 August. This order applies to all state lands and all unincorporated private land, which includes all of Dammeron Valley.

Key Stage 2 restrictions affecting Dammeron Valley and the surrounding public lands include:

  • No building, maintaining, attending, or using a fire or campfire of any kind, even in maintained fire pits or fire rings. This also applies to charcoal grills, pellet grills, and any ash-producing fuels.
  • No smoking except withing an enclosed trailer, vehicle, or building, a developed recreation site, or stopped in an area that is paved and free from dry vegetation.
  • No fireworks, tracer ammunition, or other pyrotechnic devices including exploding targets
  • No operating a motorcycle, chainsaw, ATV, or other small internal combustion engine without an approved and working spark arrestor
