DVFSSD, The Dammeron Corporation, and Big Ocean Women are sponsoring a community yard waste chipping event for residents of Dammeron Valley. For those who have been clearing their properties to help mitigate the risks of wildfire, this is an opportunity to easily and safely dispose of the accumulated yard waste.

Drop off your branches and limbs (up to 6 inches in diameter) at the Community Garden beginning today until 5 August. No drop-offs will be accepted after 5 August to ensure volunteers have enough time to chip everything before returning the chipping equipment.

This event is open to Dammeron Valley residents only; no commercial tree trimmers or residents of surrounding communities may drop off waste to be chipped. The drop-off area is monitored by multiple cameras to ensure no dumping occurs.

Please do not attempt to drop lumber, construction debris, or household items. This is a chipping event, not a large item disposal event.

If you need assistance transporting waste to the Community Garden, please contact Dammeron Valley Helping Hands.
