The Dammeron Valley Fire Special Service District (DVF-SSD) has scheduled its annual budget hearing for Thursday, 20 November at 6:30 PM.

SR-18 residents attend wildfire preparation meeting at DVFR Station 13 for latest HB 48 updates

The Dammeron Valley Community Fire Council (DVCFC) hosted Dammeron Valley Fire & Rescue (DVFR) Fire Marshall and Special Operations Chief John Hennessey to present the final wildfire preparation meeting of 2025. The meeting was attended by approximately 90 residents from multiple SR-18 communities and included new information about the implementation of Utah House Bill 48 (HB 48).

Stage 2 fire restrictions reduced to Stage 1 in Southern Utah

Thanks to late monsoonal moisture, Stage 2 fire restrictions in Southern Utah have been reduced to Stage 1 restrictions effective 28 August, 2025. The change was made in advance of the Labor Day weekend as continued rain has provided the region with much needed moisture.

The Utah Department of Natural Resources and Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands have implemented Stage 2 Fire Restrictions effective at 12:01 AM on Friday, 1 August. This order applies to all state lands and all unincorporated private land, which includes all of Dammeron Valley.
